Organic bell peppers are coming out of Jalisco — all colors, first big volume week just started

Organic bell pepper production is ramping up in Ahualulco, Jalisco, Mexico. IPR Fresh's Vice President of Marketing Mark Munger says this is the first major volume week, with all colors of organic bell peppers now available from the farm.

Jalisco is one of Mexico's key vegetable-growing states and a meaningful supplier to the U.S. organic market. The timing matters — organic bell peppers can be harder to source consistently, and a fresh start from a reliable Mexican origin gives buyers and retailers a cleaner supply window heading into summer.

Category managers handling organic produce should note this volume ramp as an opportunity to build or expand organic bell pepper programs. Watch for pricing as the season progresses and more supply enters the market.
