Naturipe says this is some of the best blueberry quality in years — and volume is at record levels

Naturipe is heading into peak blueberry season with what it describes as record volumes and some of the best quality the company has seen in years. Northern Region crops across New Jersey, Michigan, and the Pacific Northwest are producing strong conventional and organic fruit, with particularly high marks on quality.

This is a direct signal to buyers and category managers that promotional opportunities for blueberries are strong right now. Record volume alongside high quality is an unusual combination — typically heavy supply comes with some quality trade-offs, so the current setup is favorable for retail ads and foodservice menus.

Buyers planning summer promotions should be moving quickly to lock in volume and pricing while supply is abundant. If this level of quality holds through peak season, blueberries could outperform expectations on consumer satisfaction metrics.
